The Delhi Public School Asansol resonated with festive fervour as a special assembly was held on the auspicious occasion of Mahalaya. The school choir lent their melodious voices, filling the atmosphere with devotion and harmony. The seniors, adorned in glamorous attire, brought the stage alive with a magnificent group performance portraying Mahishasura mardini, captivating every eye present. The significance of the day was beautifully highlighted, reminding all of the eternal message that good always triumphs over evil. A graceful solo dance by a junior student added charm and innocence to the celebration, while the rhythmic Dhunuchi Nach — a traditional devotional dance with incense burners — performed by the teachers drew heartfelt admiration and applause. The honourable Principal Ma’am, Ms. Vineeta Srivastava, in her inspiring address, conveyed the eternal essence of Mahalaya — the need to be brave, courageous and righteous in every walk of life. She emphasized that such values must be instilled in school life to shape responsible and resilient individuals.
