When the mind learns to choose wisdom over temptation, character begins to shine brighter than influence. An inspiring awareness session titled ‘I Am the King of My Mind’ was organised at Delhi Public School Asansol under the visionary guidance of the honourable Principal ma’am, Mrs. Vineeta Srivastava. The programme aimed at encouraging students to embrace self-discipline, positivity and responsible choices in life. The session was conducted by the renowned actor, activist, inspiring mentor and dedicated teacher of method acting Mr. Bobby Chakraborty, who was warmly welcomed and felicitated by the Principal Ma’am. Through an engaging and interactive session of nearly two and a half hours, Mr. Bobby Chakraborty captivated the students of classes VII-IX with meaningful discussions on the distinction between the ‘darkness’ of harmful habits and the ‘brightness’ of purposeful living. Important issues such as alcohol consumption, smoking, abusive behaviour, excessive online gaming, respect towards parents and the wise use of smart phones were addressed with remarkable clarity and impact. The vibrant segment titled ‘Adda 484’ filled the hall with enthusiasm as students participated wholeheartedly in activities, discussions and a lively quiz. T-shirts were also presented to a few active participants as a token of love and encouragement towards the campaign. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the honourable Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Vineeta Srivastava. The session left behind not only cheerful memories and selfies with the guest speaker, but also a profound message inspiring students to choose the path of wisdom, and discipline.
