National Science Day reminds us that discovery begins with curiosity and culminates in perseverance. In observance of National Science Day, a special assembly was arranged at Delhi Public School Asansol on 23rd February 2026 reflecting the spirit of inquiry and innovation. The assembly ground radiated intellectual fervour as the significance of the occasion was eloquently explained by Mr. Abhishek Chattopadhyay, the Head of the Science Department. It was affirmed that science begins with wonder and curiosity and that experiment is the sole judge of scientific truth, verifiable by anyone at any time through the scientific method. An engaging interactive session was conducted to create scientific temperament. The inspiring life of Sir C. V. Raman was shared, highlighting his tireless pursuit of experiments. The perseverance of Thomas Alva Edison was also cited, reminding students that repeated efforts and trials lead to achievement. A Science Competition enriched the celebration, with Classes I–IV presenting models and Classes V–VIII delivering PowerPoint presentations. The event unfolded under the gracious, visionary and esteemed guidance of the honourable Principal ma’am, Ms Vineeta Srivastava whose encouragement added splendour to the celebration.
