Education reaches its highest purpose when young minds are enriched through interaction with enlightened thought. An enriching and insightful interaction was held when the students of Delhi Public School, Asansol had the opportunity to engage with Mrs. Amrapali Chakraborty, the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Asansol. The visit proved to be an enlightening academic experience, offering students valuable exposure to the legal system and its social responsibilities. The interaction commenced with a warm welcome extended by Mrs. Chakraborty, who shared her inspiring journey from her school days to her present position as Secretary of the DLSA. She explained the functioning of courts, the objectives and responsibilities of the District Legal Services Authority and the essential qualities students should cultivate to pursue a career in law. Special emphasis was laid on the mandate of the DLSA in providing free and competent legal services to marginalized and economically weaker sections of society, thereby ensuring access to justice for all. Further, she invited the students to visit her office again and expressed her keen interest in conducting a legal awareness programme at the school in the coming month. The interaction proved to be intellectually stimulating and academically enriching. The visit was undertaken under the able leadership of the honourable Principal ma'am, Ms Vineeta Srivastava, whose constant encouragement continues to provide meaningful learning opportunities for students.
